Raaz!

Secrets, we all have,

Deep down,

Somewhere,

We are threatened by them every now and then,

Fearing it might come out in the open,

Insecurity around which eats us all,

Not knowing how to deal with it,

And

In trying to hide these,

We create more secrets,

A never ending loop of sorts,

but what’s the way out? and is there one?

Well,

We fear our secrets,

for we are always looking for some kind of external validation,

an approval,

an image we are so concerned about,

a persona that we have invested all our life in,

yes, it’s not easy to just give it all up!

yes, it cannot happen in a day or two,

yes, we all need some kind of support,

and

yes, it all needs a belief to take that first step,

a belief which says,

it can be done,

and

slowly, we see ourselves getting rid of this fear,

to live a life of how it was meant to be,

free and fun!

Believe it or not!

What do you do when you meet friends?

Chit-chat,

Get involved in some fun activities,

Discuss cardinal issues of life 🙂

And at times,

You tend to delve into discussing

Perceptions

and

Belief systems

Realizing that we all come from

Different backgrounds,

have had different kinds of upbringing,

and

might have experienced life in different ways altogether,

which in turn

shapes our thoughts,

opinions,

openness towards treating things contrary to our biases,

and

willingness to go beyond our bubble,

Believe it or not,

It’s extremely difficult for each one of us to do so,

Be it

accepting different point of views,

trying new things out,

or

make an attempt to re-shape our opinions,

easier being

to remain in our respective comfort zones,

for

we tend to block anything and everything

which seems contradictory to the same,

But does it help us in any manner?

Does it make our lives better in some sense?

Does it make us human beings after all?

Well,

Believe it or not,

Experiencing things for oneself and deciding

whether it’s worth it to be incorporated as part of self

might be a way out.

Choice is of course ours at the end of the day!

Life in Shorts!

Life, an interesting journey, where you get up everyday, do some chores, work to make some money and sleep at the end of the day to again get up the next day repeating the same.

And then there is this concept of life of how it should be or we would want it to be like.

Which has ingredients of partying, having some fun, going on tours etc etc.

Concept which gets its derivation from maybe looking at others and wishing for it.

What follows is whether one make efforts towards it or not depending on one’s beliefs in the attain ability of the desired scenario.

Even after making appropriate efforts, it maybe that one doesn’t end up getting the desired results because of let’s say destiny or it wasn’t meant to be.

If we get what we want we feel accomplished and get all the adulations from the society.

If we don’t get what we want we feel dejected, the expected respect from society doesn’t boost our egos.

Whatever the outcome or the result of the efforts, we tend to ponder a lot over things which might have no relation to us being feeling elated or not in the moment.

Life, of course is not black and white, yet its simple enough to be not made complicated.

A good start could be, before going to sleep, to look back at the moments which made one elated and happy during the course of the day.

And reflect upon why those moments were so precious to us.

Was it because of the accomplishments?

Was it the ego boosters derived from the respect you got from the society?

Was it because you were having some good meal in some nice restaurant?

Was it because you were spending some quality time with your friends or family?

Was it because of the work you did and felt happy cracking the Eureka code in your life?

Whatever it was, reflect and why not write about it every night!

Next morning, just a small reference you can make to decide for yourself the proportion of your time you would want to spend on what activity in life on a daily basis.

For time is limited for all of us. Why not use it to the fullest. What say!

LOL Belief!

No one needs to tell the modern tech savvy folks as to what LOL means, a light word representing a reaction on something you find really funny.

Surely, belief is a much more serious word, indicating that all of us have a tendency to accept the existence of some aspect of our life, which doesn’t seem to come into our experience or we are not able to comprehend and we end up believing the same.

The most talked about since times immemorial is the creator or God himself/herself or any other name that you want to refer to as, either way whether you accept or don’t accept his/her existence, you end up believing the same.

On one hand, where not being able to provide an observable and repeatable proof of some kind through randomized control trial experiments (guess that’s what modern science is all about) leads people to believing that something doesn’t exist, not realizing the possibility of such a thing to be discovered in the near future.

On the other hand, those who strongly believe in something gives them a tool to say anything and everything on the basis of the same, which can lead to exploitation or all the senseless activities that might be nothing but a consequence of exploitation of such a belief.

After all, the very fundamentals of the society were built on some kind of an imagined reality, very different from let’s say the physical reality.

If you are wondering, what I might be referring to, take for example, a corporation (derived from the word corpus=body and referred to as a limited liability company in US), it’s very ironical that though not a physical entity, yet has an identity of it’s own, with ever lasting existence till it’s brought to a close by another concept of sorts, socio-economic-legal-political system that seems to exist since homo sapiens started dwelling together.

What is scary though, is that belief has led to wars and all kinds of destructive activities that our breed has taken all the credit for.

Being the so called educated and conditioned folks that we all claim to be and have become respectively, don’t you think, it’s after all not a bad idea to delve into skepticism, just a touch bit, to allow yourself that chance of being able to get out of the vicious circle of believing and not believing, rather seeing for yourself whether such a think exists or not, which seems to be the correct scientific approach.

The question though is, whether one can become flexible enough to different point of views and stop believing for the sake of life itself!

OMG!

After a long time, I have had the pleasure of watching one of the most meaningful of movies I have ever seen. With such a versatile actor as Paresh Rawal to adorn the star cast, the movie is in all senses a must watch.

What amazes me the most is the manner in which  a mystical concept such as God is presented and catered to in such a rational and logical manner. It is indeed a blow to the many gurus and sadhus who claim to be representatives of the Almighty on Planet Earth.

The sheer grit and simplicity of the protagonist is depicted in a very non-partisan and in an unusual way at the same time upholding the integrity of middle class values and essence of life.

All in all, I would recommend all of you, if you haven’t watched the movie till date, to go and watch it, for there is something for each and every one of us to learn and admire from the movie.
