Characters of the P Company: Chand

Not just because of her moon like face,

but also because of how Hasti refer to her as,

A girl in her early twenties,

Hailing from a humble background,

with an aspiration to make it big in life,

and

gift her parents a house, they have always aspired for,

she happens to be a love interest for not one but many in the office space,

Graceful to the core,

She manages to look extremely pretty in both traditional and western attire,

No wonder, Hasti has gone gaga over her!

It’s not often that she parties,

But if she does,

She would get tipsy enough to ask everyone leaving,

ghar pahuch ke zaroor message karna”, (do message after reaching home),

which tends to magnify her sweetness, like a zillion times.

A love triangle seems to be brewing between her, Hasti and another character (to be introduced soon),

She waits eagerly to witness what life has in store for her.

Characters of the P Company: Kitty

Considering there is a hero in every story,

There is bound to be a heroine,

Fondly referred to by BM or SK as Kitty,

Not because he is truly and madly in love with her,

But simply because SK used to play a game in his childhood, kitty kitty come come!

Where kids would line up bending to touch their respective feet,

And a person from the other team would come running from behind and jump on the last person in the queue,

Aim being to make the members of the team bending to fall flat,

As strange the game might sound,

Stranger was SK speaking fondly about the same.

Kitty, a simple, traditional to the core girl,

Would love SK to sweep her off her feet,

Yet, the ball seems to be in no court as of now,

Waiting to be hit for all the right reasons,

Stuck in her own world filled with confusion,

She eagerly waits for her destiny to unfold.

My Life-Your Life

Invariably we keep drawing these comparisons,

Be it the boy or girl next door,

or

Be it that successful colleague in our offices,

Be it the black sheep in the family,

or

Be it that wonderful cousin who has had it all in life,

Whatever be the reason for your kind of life,

Destiny

or

your own making,

We need to understand,

It has got to do nothing with any one else’,

One may want to get inspired,

One may want to draw a clue or two from others’,

But have your ever wondered,

What benefit it’s bringing to you?

Which brings back the memory of a song which became quite popular during it’s time,

It’s my life...and is unique in every sense of the word,

Why not just try and stick to that!

Legacy

There are many legacies that we keep hearing about,

Be it the kingdoms and the associated kings,

Be it the political dynasties,

or

Be it the sportspersons and their sons or daughters,

But one legacy that was given to us Indians,

which, as a generation, we would love to forget about,

is this constant state of lethargy,

where,

Until and unless something goes wrong big time,

we don’t react or respond,

hoping that this hibernation will solve it all,

But time and again,

We have been looted inside out,

Be it the invaders who attacked our kingdoms in the past,

or

Be it the nature of corruption or bureaucracy that we tend to hold on to, courtesy British raj,

We tend to suffer hoping that some God will take care, no matter what,

It’s high time,

We start putting in efforts before we leave it all to our destinies!

Being Gutsy!

Some of us do have this tendency of attributing everything to destiny,

and

Few attribute it to an external cause not under our control,

then there are,

Few who claim to have tried everything,

and then there are,

Few who don’t want to do anything about it,

and last but not least are,

Those who don’t even accept that there is something wrong,

No matter which category we are part of,

The worst possible is not to accept the existence of a problem,

For nothing can be done if there is no issue,

As a result, we start leading a miserable life,

Not taking any steps what so ever to find a relevant solution to the same,

Yes,

It requires a lot of courage to identify and do something about it,

Question being,

Are we prepared to be gutsy enough to make the first move?

Crying Kid!

At times, when you are not doing something so called meaningful, meaningful things happen.

Just noticed, that a kid has kept on crying for more than 10 minutes in a nearby apartment.

Don’t really know the reason, but makes me wonder whether that’s how future is going to be for most of the kids with the kind of education system we have in place.

An education system which kills all curiosity and an ability to question would surely lead our kids and thereby society in that direction.

Not just kids, we adults are often found to be crying over one thing or the other,

Be it the boss screwing us up today with shit load of work,

Spouse quarrels,

Traffic jams,

Physical discomfort,

What not!

Simply being unable to handle different challenging situations at different points of time in our lives,

Which takes us back to the crying kid,

What if:

The crying kid was catered to in a manner so that he/she would be able to manage his/her state of mind,

Adult stakeholders (parents, relatives, teachers, siblings etc),

Providing him/her the tools to be able to do so,

Giving him/her enough time and attention which was needed to just hear them out,

Being that eternal friend, philosopher and guide that he/she might be craving for,

And

Most importantly, not imposing our own grown up expectations on the kid,

Would the crying kid grow up to become the crying adult?

Well, chances are less, though one can always argue on the pretext of one’s destiny.

But wasn’t destiny about taking control of our own lives, I wonder!

The Inevitable!

What do you do when you don’t get to do what you wanna do?

Well, most of us might have encountered such situations or are continuing to face on a daily basis, be it in person or profession.

So there are things we know we are good at, based on the kind of training or experience we have had.

And there are things that we might not be so good at but we would want to give it a shot.

Things which inspire us to act differently,

Things which might want us to get out of our comfort zone,

Things which seem super exciting to delve into,

And

Things which tend to bring us out of the boredom associated with accomplishment of daily feats.

Few may ask, who’s stopping you from taking a deep dive?

Well,

Call it insecurity,

Call it fear of the unknown,

Label it as the responsibility that comes along being born in a family or married to someone,

Or

Just lack of courage,

Most of us end up doing something we don’t like most of our lives,

Only to repent after what if we would have done otherwise.

The only thing to think possibly is,

Whether we would want to be a part of the inevitable group, who accepts it as their destiny to keep doing what they are supposedly good at,

Or

Choose to break free from the same to explore the boundless nature of the possibilities at hand.

Life in Shorts!

Life, an interesting journey, where you get up everyday, do some chores, work to make some money and sleep at the end of the day to again get up the next day repeating the same.

And then there is this concept of life of how it should be or we would want it to be like.

Which has ingredients of partying, having some fun, going on tours etc etc.

Concept which gets its derivation from maybe looking at others and wishing for it.

What follows is whether one make efforts towards it or not depending on one’s beliefs in the attain ability of the desired scenario.

Even after making appropriate efforts, it maybe that one doesn’t end up getting the desired results because of let’s say destiny or it wasn’t meant to be.

If we get what we want we feel accomplished and get all the adulations from the society.

If we don’t get what we want we feel dejected, the expected respect from society doesn’t boost our egos.

Whatever the outcome or the result of the efforts, we tend to ponder a lot over things which might have no relation to us being feeling elated or not in the moment.

Life, of course is not black and white, yet its simple enough to be not made complicated.

A good start could be, before going to sleep, to look back at the moments which made one elated and happy during the course of the day.

And reflect upon why those moments were so precious to us.

Was it because of the accomplishments?

Was it the ego boosters derived from the respect you got from the society?

Was it because you were having some good meal in some nice restaurant?

Was it because you were spending some quality time with your friends or family?

Was it because of the work you did and felt happy cracking the Eureka code in your life?

Whatever it was, reflect and why not write about it every night!

Next morning, just a small reference you can make to decide for yourself the proportion of your time you would want to spend on what activity in life on a daily basis.

For time is limited for all of us. Why not use it to the fullest. What say!

To do or not to?

Nike came up with this catchy tagline, “just do it!

Sounds great, no?

Well, it is, the only catch with this catchy tagline is,

First, one should know what one should do or loves to do,

Also, once you have had the clue about what you love, you must have the capability to be able to do so.

Most of us fall in either of the 2 categories mentioned above,

Be it not able to find our so called path or one’s dharma,

or

Not having enough skill sets, both mental and physical to travel the path.

download

Any or both lead to utter dissatisfaction, which draws one to thoughts like,

To be or not to be!

or

To do or not to do!

The above questions may arise once you are not able to do something that you want to or feel being inadequate,

Though what needs to be the focus is to build the foundations in a manner which acts as an enabler to accomplish things in society that one wishes for, based on doing good for the society,

Also, due to externalities, if one is not able to accomplish the same, one should be OK with it,

For ultimately,

It won’t matter!

Ironical Success!

A sage once asked a man, “Do you want to be successful or secure?

The man replied, “But how are they different?

The sage replied, “Well, for most of the people, the success happens by chance, which makes them more fearful of what if and what if not!”

What the man chose thereafter, let us leave that to history, but what’s more important is to mull over the above a tad bit.

To see whether it’s really happening around us. Are we really becoming that insecure, as we tend to accumulate more and more assets in our lives.

Are we scared of losing things to so called destiny?

Are we looking for some kind of insurance, leave alone the other ones which, in any case, we are choosing to have day-in-day-out, instead of focusing on what to do and what not to do, especially when it comes to our health?

To a certain extent, yes!

j6djclarllpqdtwx7s

Be it any time of our day, tend to haunt us with questions,

What if the maid doesn’t come today?

What if I were late for a so called important meeting?

What if the investments that I have made are hit by a financial crisis?

What if the real state scenario doesn’t become better?

What if I am not able to travel in business class?

Our minds and thoughts putting us in an unstable mode, where in consequences of situations which hasn’t even happened start to trouble us the very moment we are awake.

No wonder, so much importance is being given to sleeping 8-9 hours a day ;).

What if, the very act of waking up came along with the pleasant thoughts, which instead of making you fearful and insecure brought in fresh air and fragrance of life!

Wouldn’t that be a fantastic way to lead life?

And would it even matter bothering about answering the question which the sage asked, once upon a time 🙂
