Stand up!

There are few who tend to inspire the entire world around them,

These few bring with them a certain kind of positive energy,

which completely changes the complexion of the ambience around them,

and

They can be found in every nook and corner of our country,

One whom I found is a gentleman in his late 50s,

Hails from God’s own country in India,

Is super enthusiastic,

in every stride that he takes,

in every conversation that he makes,

in every shot in badminton that he plays,

and

to top it all,

has a sensational comic timing,

which can give a run to pretty much all the young comics,

But there is a hitch in him,

to stand up,

to go out there and be expressive,

to let himself free,

from the judgments and perceptions of the world around him,

Will he able to get out of his comfort zone?

He should for it’s worth a shot,

What do you think?

Real Freedom!

Every year it comes and goes,

Flag is hoisted,

National anthem is played,

We all get goose-bumps,

And life moves on,

Without realizing what freedom could mean in the truest sense,

After all,

Society is nothing but a conglomeration of its residents,

And

If the residents themselves are not free,

What could freedom intend mean!

Free from one’s biases,

Free from one’s judgments,

and

Free from forming quick opinions,

Question being,

Are we ready to take that first step towards freedom?

Willing Chance!

Have you ever wondered what’s it’s come down to?

Expecting from others to behave in a certain manner, contingent to our own limited liking,

Be it:

Colleagues,

Relatives,

Friends,

Kids,

Servants,

Or

Any Passerby,

And what purpose does it serve apart from making us more:

Angry,

Emotional,

Depressed,

Hateful,

Primarily unstable,

Possibly making us a member of a tribe which is lost but never to be found.

Eventually ending up all lonely,

for:

None would want to be in our company,

None would aspire to keep arguing till eternity,

And

More importantly, all would expect the unexpected

Choice is ours to be a party to the much-much group or be a worthy member of the much expected tribe:

One who puts himself/herself in other’s shoes before judging or criticizing,

And

One who provides that all important ear to listen and not comment when it matters the most,

At such challenging times , why not bring a little change in the way we:

Observe,

Perceive,

Comment

and

Behave

Only question being:

Are we ready to give this transformation a willing chance?

The Internal Lord!

Have you wondered about the My Lord or the Judge Sahab inside all of us!

Flaunting those long hair from the earlier era and a black gown with specs looking down upon the rest.

What he does is of course to pass judgements for that’s his job.

If someone doesn’t agree to what we say he judges them as not knowledgeable or stupid.

Or

If someone doesn’t love us the way we want to be loved, he would label them as cruel and emotionless.

By passing such judgements time and again he makes us perceive the world to be lying in a sorry state of affairs.

By doing so we become more and more pessimistic about lot of things in life.

We become the unwanted and non desirable critics in the lives of many.

Basically we all become some sort of a pessimist who does nothing but crib about everything and anything in life.

Now, what kind of person you wanna become is a choice, though the choice seems obvious.

Don’t you think it’s high time we shut up this lord inside us and make him a slave to our sensibilities!
