The P Company Snippets: Commitments and more Commitments

There are some,

Who value what they say,

and

Then there are some,

Who don’t really care what they say,

Have no commitments of sorts,

be it in their professional or personal setups,

Here,

we see Chakra and Sutradhaar,

Struggling between what their hearts tells them to do,

and

what their commitment towards their respective job roles is,

Wanting to startup,

they keep hanging around in the agency space.

Would they be able to meet their commitment towards the agency?

or

Would they listen to what their heart says?

Yet to be seen!

The P Company Snippets: Falling for the Sharks

Courtesy,

Shows like Shark Tank,

and

the associated glamour which tags along,

Every Tom, Dick and Harry aspires to startup on his own,

Not realising that it might actually be better to do a job than run a business oneself,

Not because of the capability per se,

But just because the attitude might not match with the gruesome requirements,

After all, what’s unknown, tends to attract much more than what’s known,

A nexus of sorts,

The startup world entertains only those who have managed to find a foot in the door,

With assumptions galore,

Chakra and Sutradhaar aspire to start up,

The only thing making them wait, before they jump in right away,

Their commitment towards the agency.

Whether a time would come when they would be able to take that leap, yet to be seen!

The P Company Snippets: MBA 101

Changing jobs is a big decision for many if not all,

Expectations are high,

Motivation and enthusiasm is another level,

Only thing that an organisation needs to probably do is,

To provide a conducive environment for this enthusiasm to prosper,

The story was a bit different here,

Leave alone a set of goodies for joining,

Sutradhaar didn’t even get to have a fixed place to sit,

Having been a cofounder himself in a couple of startups prior to this stint,

Sutradhaar didn’t seem to mind the absence of basics and the associated dynamics,

What followed after was a sort of an eyeopener for Sutradhaar.

Interactions were being done,

Friends were being made,

What was probably amiss was the presence of principles which are laid out in MBA 101.

Sutradhaar, along with Chakra wondered whether their presence would help organise things better,

At the same time,

Witnessing the circus unfold right in front of their eyes.

Characters of the P Company: Chakra

Chakra, derived from the famous Chakra adorned by Lord Krishna,

Is a gem of a person,

Has checked all boxes, be it educational or professional,

Be it IIMs or government services, he has lived it all,

Has found a good friend in Sutradhaar and treats him like his elder brother,

His only challenge in professional life right now being,

That he is not being treated the way, a guy of his pedigree should be,

Wants to start up on his own,

For he craves for the professional freedom, he thinks he deserves,

Sutradhaar and Chakra like to have these tipsy sessions once in a while,

Aim being to be able to speak heart to heart,

The other companions being SK and Hasti,

Chakra eagerly waits for the day when Sutradhaar and he would be able to get out of this system and start up on their own.

Take Away

kya leke aaye the kya leke jayenge,

(what did you bring when you came in this world and what will you take away),

With many youngsters thinking of jumping into this world of startups,

or

people worrying about taking that all important first step in life,

wondering about the risks involved,

the one and only take away that one might want to focus on is,

there isn’t any take aways from this world,

only certain contributions to be made in the lifetimes we have,

how we choose to spend this time is of relevance,

for there is only this much time we have,

of which we might have already spent quite a bit,

if you think that you will certainly die one day,

guess it’s high time we stop worrying about going broke with ideas,

and

start acting upon whatever we would want to do in this lifetime.

10M Fetish!

10M fetish

It all began with the emergence of markets,

where we would go daily or every alternate day to get what we needed in life,

Someone smart enough thought why not make it more convenient and get stuff delivered at home,

Someone smarter came and thought about a one day delivery would be super cool…

Came down to the likes of pizza hut, dominos, and now pickily who would get that same stuff delivered in 30 mins…

And then came the genius, Zepto, with a 10 min proposition,

10 mins, crazy, right!

You know what’s crazier,

The delivery boy driving for his life to deliver that thing in 10 mins,

Manoeuvring on the broken roads,

Avoiding craters on the road,

Endangering not only their lives but of the people driving alongside them,

For

If he were not able to deliver on time,

He would get shouted at by the customer to begin with,

And

Would be penalised for not having performed his duty on time by the company,

Guys,

Can’t we let go of our 10 mins fetish and start acting in a bit more sensible manner?

Can we stop treating this as a differentiator among startups?

Choice is ours,

Make a wise one, before it gets too late!
